Zero Tolerance To Ragging

Mata Sushila Institute of Education strictly prohibits ragging in any form and follows all rules and regulations prescribed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and UGC guidelines.

Ragging Is A Criminal Offence

Hon’ble Supreme Court of India treats ragging as a human rights abuse and has declared it a punishable crime.

Supreme Court Directive

“If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him/her.”

Important Guidelines

  • Ragging is completely banned inside and outside the institute campus and hostel.
  • FIR will be lodged against any student involved in ragging.
  • Strict disciplinary action including expulsion may be taken against offenders.
  • Parents and guardians should counsel students against ragging activities.

Definition of Ragging

Ragging includes any verbal, written, psychological, or physical act causing embarrassment, fear, harm, humiliation, or discomfort to junior students.

It also includes teasing, rough behavior, forcing students to perform acts against their will, and creating unsafe situations.

Reporting & Support

Any student facing ragging or harassment can immediately contact the Anti-Ragging Committee.
